By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. If you use the site on behalf of a company, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it.

findalternative.net is a directory. Listings are compiled from publicly available sources, from data supplied by product owners, and with the help of AI models that draft descriptions and assign categories. Entries are reviewed before publication, but AI-assisted content can still be wrong, out of date, or incomplete.

Treat everything here as a starting point for your own research, not as advice. Prices, features, licences and availability change constantly. Always confirm on the product's own website before you buy or commit. Nothing on this site is professional, legal, financial or technical advice.

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your credentials safe. Give us accurate information, do not impersonate anyone, and do not share your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU/UK) to create an account.

Reviews, product submissions, comments, stacks and votes are yours. You keep ownership. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, store and distribute that content as part of the site, including in excerpts and in search results.

When you post, you confirm that:

• It is your own work, or you have the right to post it.
• It is honest — a real opinion or an accurate fact, not a paid or fake review.
• It is not unlawful, defamatory, hateful, deceptive, or an infringement of anyone's rights.
• It contains no malware, spam, or undisclosed promotional material.

We may edit, reject or remove contributed content — including for quality, accuracy or policy reasons — and we are not obliged to publish anything you submit. Removing your account does not automatically remove content you posted; see our Privacy Policy for how that is handled.

If you represent a product, you can claim its listing by proving you control the product's domain — either by verifying a work email at that domain, or by publishing a token we give you in the site's DNS, a file, or a meta tag.

A verified claim lets you keep your own listing accurate and reply to reviews. It does not give you ownership of the listing, control over the reviews or ratings on it, or the right to have unfavourable but legitimate content removed. We may revoke a claim if the verification is no longer valid or the access is abused.

We make money from affiliate commissions and paid placements. You should know exactly how that affects what you see:

• Some outbound product links earn us a commission if you sign up or buy. This never changes the price you pay.
• Some listings are paid placements. These are always labelled as featured or sponsored.
• Ordinary rankings and listings are not for sale. Where a list is ordered by votes, popularity or editorial judgement, paying us does not move a product up it.

Please do not:

• Scrape, crawl or bulk-download the catalogue beyond what robots.txt permits, or resell our data.
• Manipulate votes, ratings or reviews, including by using multiple accounts.
• Submit listings for products that do not exist, or spam the submission queue.
• Attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site.
• Use the site to break the law, or to infringe someone else's rights.

The site's design, code, and the compiled catalogue as a whole belong to us. Product names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners, and are used here for identification and commentary — their appearance does not imply any endorsement or partnership.

Game data is provided by IGDB under their terms. If you own rights in something published here and believe it is used improperly, email legal@findalternative.net with enough detail to identify it and we will act promptly.

We link out constantly — that is the point of the site. We do not control those destinations and are not responsible for their content, their pricing, their products or their privacy practices. Once you leave, their terms apply, not ours.

The site is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the information on it is accurate, complete or current. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all implied warranties.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or losses arising from a decision you made based on information found here. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the site is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us (which, for almost every user, is nothing) or USD 100.

If your content or your use of the site causes a third-party claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of dealing with it — provided we tell you about the claim promptly and let you participate in its handling.

You can stop using the site or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached, or if an account is being used to harm the site or its users. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will explain why.

We may update these terms. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be announced on the site. Continuing to use it after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory laws in your own country of residence.
