Overview
Description

KeePass2Android is an open-source password manager for Android devices. It allows users to securely store and manage their passwords, PINs, and other sensitive information. The app supports various encryption algorithms and provides features like password generation, auto-fill, and synchronization with cloud storage services.

1Password is a password manager that securely stores passwords, passkeys, credit cards, and sensitive documents behind a single master password and a locally-stored secret key, adding an extra layer of protection beyond typical password managers. Its zero-knowledge architecture means 1Password itself never has access to unencrypted vault data. Browser extensions and native apps autofill logins across every major platform, while Watchtower proactively flags weak, reused, or breached passwords so users can fix security issues before they become a problem. Passkey support lets users move away from passwords entirely for supported sites. 1Password Business adds team vaults, granular access controls, and integrations with identity providers like Okta and Azure AD, making it a common choice for company-wide credential management alongside individual use.

Decent but has rough edges

Mixed feelings about 1Password after using it for a while. On the plus side, excellent autofill across browsers and apps. That said, no permanent free tier, only a trial, which held us back from rating it higher.

Great tool for security

1Password has quickly become part of our daily workflow. Watchtower proactively surfaces security risks. One minor gripe: slightly pricier than some competitors, but it hasn't been a dealbreaker. Would recommend to anyone considering it.
